Very Poor upload to Twitch.Tv

I have the 50/50 package, but for some reason I can't upload to twitch.tv with any kind of speed. I stream using Nvidia's Shadowplay set at an upload speed of only 2.5Mbps, but my friends say the stream lags/pauses and stutters. We can see other streams just fine which indicates our download rate is okay. Any thoughts? I am over ethernet and using Verizon's Quantum gateway.

Fios Quantum VS Fios Wireless

I'm planning to switch to Fios double play (50/50 internet)  and i have quesiton choosing the modem.   I'm planning to use my own wireless modem (have powerful AC netgear router) .  With this in mind, will i be good with Fios wireless router?

 

Fios quantum gateway, the only difference between this 2 is the wirless speed (dual band)    Is this is correct ?   Is there are any other benefit to with quantum gateway for my either internet or tv services?

I have never experienced worst customer service in my life time. It literally sounds like you are speaking to SCAMERS when on the phone with Verizon reps. Poorly trained and 75% of them have no dam idea of what they are doing ! Far the less do they care for you, your money or your time. They can not even give you there full name they say they are not allowed to, how can you complain about someone if they do not even give you a name, they do not have managers or any higher ups. When I asked to speak to a manager THEY LITARELLY HUNG UP THE PHONE !!!! I can not believe Verizon is such a well known company. They need to be known for there BAD SERVICE.

How does one request FiOS hardware to be installed?

I am writing because I am trying to figure out who I need to contact to get FiOS installed in our building. Currently, everyone else at our street intersection has service except for us. 

 

Currently our only offerings are COX and Verizon VDSL, which is being marketed as "FiOS" but it is not fiber and the upload speeds are vastly inferior. (I need to upload 5-10 GB at a time, so VDSL and COX are not viable options). 

 

My friends who live accross the street current have full FiOS service, and they get full 50/50 service, so my guess is there is hardware missing in our building that Verizon has yet to install. (Do not see an ONT in the apartment, and probably means hardware also needs to be installed in the comm room downstairs)

 

I already asked the leasing office and their management, and they said if Verizon wants to upgrade our building, please feel free, and they are willing to talk to Verizon reps and engineers regarding the matter.

Can anyone suggest how to review browsing history from all devices connected throu Verizon Fios Router? I know the devices will have the browsing history but that is within the device. 

 

Is there a overall browsing history that we can access from Verizon Router? 

 

Any suggestions?

Email deliverability issues

For atleast the last 2 weeks I have noticed that there has been a delay in receiving email to my verizon email addresses.  I have 3 seperate email addresses.  I experience the delay on my desktop (windows), my notebook (Windows), my iPhone, and my iPad.  The delay also exists in webmail. 

 

The delay does not exist from 1 specific sender, but multiple.  Email is does not appear to be going to my spam folder. It is not just business, but also multiple individuals.  I can send an email from my work email address and not recieve it until the next day. 

 

The email delay appears to be resolved over night every night, but I do not receive some emails for 12 hours after they are originally sent.  Any ideas?

Since the people that answer the Verizon chat don't want to actually answer my question, only sell me stuff, I thought I would try here!!

 

We are going to be setting up service in January, but, if we get the 25, and decide we want to move up to the 50, can we do that? I know, obviously, it will cost more... But is there a fee for changing since it's a contract? What if you go the other way and get a smaller plan?

 

Also, does anyone know if you've been with them as a wireless provider for years, do you get a discount for that?

FIOS Quantum Router Wifi Range

Alright, so i may have a little issue..

I just got my router around an hour ago, plug n play did its job and everything worked off the bat without having to install anything..

 

Setup the Wifi settings etc so on, routers working great speed wise, no difference than my previous router tho which isnt surprising..

 

So the MAIN issue i have would be the Wifi signal.. its TERRIBLE compared to the previous router with 2 external anntenae, i tested it with my phone to see if the wifi would be better outside and it definately isnt.. with the previous router i could go all the way to my sons swing set and still have a decent signal, not to mention an especially decent signal in my driveway now i cant even get to the swing set without the Wifi going poof..

 

So my question is, how do i resolve this? Ive never liked Internal Routers, ive always known that their wifi range sucks but i really dont feel like sending the router back.. And id rather not have to spend money on a wifi extender either..

 

So any help would be appreciated, thanks..

I am here to share my recent experience with verzion.

 

My old internet contract has ended recently and there is a price increase on my montly internet bill. So I looking for something better

 

I use to have a 59.99 fios internet 15/5. after the 2 year  contract, Verzion was charing me 79.99 for 15/5 each month.

(I have the auto pay, and I never receive any call from verzion about my price increase)

 

Since I am paying 79.99 for 15/5, I go on to verzion to see if there is better plan. This is where the scam happen.

I am looking for a higher speed plan so I can stream video . I go into my service and look for upgrade. there is a plan for 87.99  fios internet 50/50. since just 8 more dollar of what I am paying. I can triple the speed and there is a special offer as the image show above said you will receive a new wifi router at no cost.

 

Before I made my upgrade I start a live chat with a agent asking about what new router it is. and the new plan I am getting. He explains to me very clearly that my current router is call the N router. it is slow and if I want to stream a video or upload something it wont do it. So I take the offer and made the upgrade. 

 

So I made my upgrade. This was happen on 11/20/2014.

Very soon I got the comformation of my upgrade. However Nothing was mentioned that I am getting a new router. No email, no tracking number. Nothing.  and the live chat agent confirm that my upgrade is done and expectiing the new router soon. Since I dont see the email have stated that I will receive the new router. I ask the agent in live chat. He tell me that it will come to me in 3~5 day. but he does not carry the tracking but the sale department might do. So he give me the sales department number to me (800) 837-4966.

 

So I call immediately, A agent on phone told me that Oh dont worry, your router is coming. I see your recent Fios internet upgrade email. That mean you will get a new router. Usually take 3~5 day.

 

Adter 3~5 day. nothing

 

Made another call to (800) 837-4966, another agent tell me they do see I will receive a new router , but usually take 7~10 after you make your upgrade.

 

After 7~10 day. NOTHING

 

Call (800) 837-4966 again. AGENT#3 tell me I dont see anywhere said you will receive a new router. It is not in the system. So that is why I you did not get one.

AGENT#3 give me the **bleep** moment . the attitude it just killing me.

 

I am have a problem and I am asking for solition and this AGENT#3 is not helping me but making it worst.

 

On the day I made my upgrade I didnt screen shot all the thing on the web site.( But who will?)

 

So I go to verzion.com right away. the offer is still there. and This AGENT#3 tell me she did not see it and give me this nasty  attitude. and I really want to send a copy to this AGENT#3 I speaking with.

 

and yet. I do not have the new router. Maybe it just the scam they running right now

 

I strongly suggest you all to Screen shot everything you see before you made any change to your account.. Or else verzion just tell you "I sorry I dont know what you talking about. I dont see any offer"

 

Fios Installation at my house caused damage and the contractor is no returning calls nor is Verizon

I have been told that my DSL and Land Line are going away in my area and am being forced to change to FOIS with that said I arranged to have FIOS installed but after I returned from Vacation. Needless to say the third party contactor rolled on to my property while I was away and installed the FIOS cable knocking two retaining walls out oF alignment and making a mess of my driveway, steps to my front door, and my neighbors driveway and stuffed a card to call if there was a problem with a phone which tripped the alarm. Now Neither the contractor nor  Verizon is returning my calls. Who do you call when they do this and nobody answers the phone?

Quantum 50/50 - ActionTec MI424WR what revision

I've had FIOS Quantum 50/50(with match speed now) for two years.  I was only provided the ActionTec MI424WR Rev E Router (silver stripe not red).  Shouldn't I have been given Rev I or even the initial Generation 3 GigE Router?  It is my understanding that the Rev E was intended for "Hi-Speed/DSL" not Quantum.

 

Any input from other Quantum 50/50 users or Verizon Representative is appreciated.

Early Termination Fees

Where can I find information about Verizon's early termination fees? All live found so far is information about cancelling a double-play or tripple-play. They don't specify how much it is to cancel an internet only plan. I have about 20 months left on my contract. Is there a calculator or table somewhere that I can find my ETF?

My old account has been sent to collections & reported to the Credit Bureaus. Customer service confirms that I don't owe, tries to help, but seems powerless to actually fix anything.

 

TIMELINE:

 

1. I return equipment to Verizon.  UPS delivers 05/30/2014 per tracking number and per Verizon signature.

2. Invoice generated 06/07/14 for equipment and sent to me.

3. Customer service Denise confirmed on 06/30/2014 that equipment was returned.

4. Denise said it may take 1 or 2 billing cycles ( months ) to process. 06/30/2014

5. Verizon FIOS makes me an offer to return & I agree to a 2-year contract for service

  on 07/29/2014. But wait, there is still an outstanding invoice for un-returned equipment.  Mrs Bradford confirms that the equipment was returned, then contacts the credit department, which reviews and confirms that the invoice will be adjusted. New service begins.

6. Verizon meanwhile sends my account to a collection agency which demands $207 for un-returned equipment. I speak to Jose at EOS CCA collections and upon request, I fax him the UPS tracking history for the return. My transmission report confirms that he received this fax on 09/11/2014 at 18:45. I mistakenly assume this is over.

7. On 12/02/2014 I try to buy Verizon Wireless equipment and service. Denied! I call Verizon only to have my call routed to the collection agency. The lady has no record that I disputed this or sent information to Jose on 9/11.

8. On 12/02/2014, Kara in Customer Service confirms that Verizon employees have screwed-up ( my expression not hers ) but she will submit the proper paperwork.

9. On 12/04/2014 I access my credit report to see that on 11/01/2014 Verizon reported me to the credit bureaus. This is the only ding against me but the credit report states that this

has affected my credit. My score is the lowest it has ever been because of this!

10. 12/04/2014 - I call Verizon, talk to Debbie, "We are so sorry, it will be corrected, blah, blah, blah", transferred to Mr Trout, "We are so sorry, it will be corrected, blah, blah, blah", transferred to Sherry in credit, more "blah, blah, blah".

11. Sherry in credit then said "it may take 1 or 2 billing cycles ( months ) to process." and there is nothing else that can be done. I go check my blood pressure.

12. See # 4 above.

 

How much time do you think has been spent on this issue? On hold waiting for a rep, explaining, waiting for each rep to review the case, getting transferred again, on hold waiting each time!

 

**bleep**! What is wrong with Verizon? Good thing I kept the UPS tracking info or I'd be screwed. Oh, that's already happened.

 

Meanwhile, I suppose I need to try Sprint for my cell service.

In August I upgraded my package and got the free tablet / $200 credit offer.

 

Since September, I've called around 15 times and have gotten nowhere.  At this point, it's about the principal.  Every time I call Verizon support, I get transfered to the outsourced rebate center.  Every time I hear the same spiel...

 

1) Email is on its way - just give it 72 hours.  It will definitely arrive

2) Oh sorry, email hasn't been sent out because the dept has a huge backlog

3) Check your spam folders / filters etc - even after switching email accounts

 

Since I haven't been able to get anywhere with Customer Service or the Rebate Center, I'm hoping to find a way to escalate.  

Quantum 50/50 Wi-Fi speed

I just upgraded to Quantum 50/50. Installed the new router yesterday. Did a couple speed tests and found:

 

(1) PCs directly connected to router can reach 53/53Mbps. Pretty satisfied.

(2) Mobile devices (iPhone 5S, Windows Laptop) only got less than 20/20Mbps through Wi-Fi if I sit by the router in basement. The speed dropped to only 12/12Mbps if I test it on the 2nd floor.

 

Is the WiFi speed normal? Any suggestions to improve it?

Port Forwarding Not Working

Hi,

I’m having a problem with Port Forwarding.

Router: Actiontec MI424-WR Rev. D.

I’ve set up a wireless security camera with a static IP Address. (The camera interface shows Port 80). It connects at home.

I’ve gone through the steps below to open Port Forwarding (Port 80) to access the camera from away from home, but with no success.

I had someone across town try 192.168.1.9:80 with no luck.

Can you see where I’ve missed something?

In DHCP Connections I set up static IP address 192.168.1.9 and added MAC address for device (Trendnet 551WI).
TV-IP551WI    192.168.1.9    d8:eb:97:d2:81:54    Static    Network (Home/Office)    Active    1216 minutes    

Test Succeeded 4 pings 4/4 transmitted, 4/4 received, 0% loss.
